Newlands Valley
This walk starts at Braithwaite and follows rough tracks to the Newlands Valley. We walk on quiet roads, Open Farm Land and follow fields and tracks alongside Catbells. We have magnificent views of the valley. We follow the Cumbrian Way to Portinscales and then make our way back to Braithwaite following the Newland Beck. Approx 10Km – 6 Miles and should take us 4 – 5 Hours including lunch and coffee stops.

Thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Everything was just right – the route, the length, the pace, even the weather. June was a very good leader.
How did the walk help you?
Being out in the fresh air walking is always beneficial but it was nice to enjoy it in the company of others.
