Walks in Lancashire

Possibly more famous for it’s cities, football & industrial past – but Lancashire has some astoundingly beautiful places.

We also, with all of our walks, aim to prove that you can find wonder anywhere – so some walks will start in towns – others will be out in the countryside – but they’ll all offer you somewhere to get away from your worries, to have a chance to meet people, talk & really be heard.

The Walks

You can scroll through all of our walks – or if there’s something you’re particularly interested in – our Walk & Talk sessions, or maybe developing your personal skills – then you can search below…

A Jaunt around Jumbles

22 Oct 24 - 10:00
Join me on a 4 mile walk around Turton Tower, Chapletown and Jumbles Reservoir. A varied walk, on good paths, covering moorland, village and woodland walking. Crossing the railway line, we skirt Turton Moors before descending to Chapeltown via field paths, to view its historic buildings. From here we descend to Jumbles reservoir for an easy walk around the water before returning to Turton Tower. A lovely walk with lots of varied history and great scenery, weather permitting, 425 ft of ascent ( not all at once!) Please Note the Tower is not open for visitors on Tuesdays. But the cafe is!! but bring drink and snack too.

Spooky goings on at Rivington Pike

31 Oct 24 - 10:00 AM
Start the walk from the café near to Go Ape and make our way to Rivington Barn, then the paths through the gardens to the pike and the story of the headless horseman of Rivington Pike. If the café is open near to the pike stop for a brew, then make our way back down, back to the Barn and then to the starting point. This will be any easy paced walk.
