Cumbria Walks
River and canal amble
10 Oct 24
- 09:30 AM
This walk takes in the village of Sedgwick once home to the Wakefield family, the old canal paths that connected the wool trade of Kendal and surrounding fells, the gunpowder produced down by the river to the great cities and mills of the north and beyond.
A flat leisurely walk with lots of interest, a possibility of a coffee stop although a flask with a hot drink is always a good idea.
