A Jaunt around Jumbles
Join me on a 4 mile walk around Turton Tower, Chapletown and Jumbles Reservoir. A varied walk, on good paths, covering moorland, village and woodland walking. Crossing the railway line, we skirt Turton Moors before descending to Chapeltown via field paths, to view its historic buildings. From here we descend to Jumbles reservoir for an easy walk around the water before returning to Turton Tower. A lovely walk with lots of varied history and great scenery, weather permitting, 425 ft of ascent ( not all at once!) Please Note the Tower is not open for visitors on Tuesdays. But the cafe is!! but bring drink and snack too.
What did you think of the walk?
Jane was a great host. She took us to some beautiful places, and gave us information about some of the places, making it much more interesting.
How did the walk help you?
Enjoyed being out in the countryside with some great ladies. The weather was great too.
Would you come on a walk again?
Yes! I would love to go again.
