An Lochan Uaine (the Green Lochan) and Ryvoan Bothy
This LGBTQIA+ walk will explore a beautiful spot in the Cairngorms. Our 10km circular route starts by following a high level path amongst ancient Caledonian pines before arriving at An Lochan Uaine with its green-tinged water. From there the route climbs gently to the lovely Ryvoan Bothy, a simple shelter maintained by the Mountain Bothy Association. Returning along the main path, we will spend time chatting and reflecting on the sights that have greeted us on the walk. Members of the LGBTQIA+ and allies are warmly welcome. Wherever you find yourself in life, Vicky will meet you there.
What did you think of the walk?
Vicky was a very friendly and patient walk leader on this family friendly walk. We saw lots of lovely wildlife too!
How did the walk help you?
As an LGBTQ+ parent, it’s difficult to find group walks that are for our community but also family friendly. It was great to be able to socialise with other LGBTQ adults and also bring my child
Would you come on a walk again?
Yes! I would love to go again.
Sharing is caring!
