A taste of the West Highland Way: Tyndrum to Crianlarich
Enjoy a wee taste of the iconic West Highland Way on this 10km linear route for LGBTQIA+ and allies. We will meet in Tyndrum and catch the 13:20 train to Crianlarich, before walking back to our meeting place. Our route will travel through forest, alongside two rivers (Fillan and Cononish) and past the ruins of St Fillan’s Priory and a graveyard. We will be surrounded throughout by the stunning mountains of this part of the Highlands. There will be plenty of time to pause and breathe as we journey together through the landscape as well as opportunity to talk should you wish.
What did you think of the walk?
Vicky was a fab walk leader as usual, very welcoming to everyone and her emotional support snacks always help too! I hadn’t met most of the other people in the walk before and it was great to chat with other LGBTQ people from across Scotland.
How did the walk help you?
I was looking forward to the walk anyway, but in the week running up to it I had a particularly difficult time with caring responsibilities. It meant a lot to be able to have some time away, get some exercise and spend time in nature with likeminded people.
Would you come on a walk again?
Yes! I would love to go again.
Sharing is caring!
