The Marchlyn Circuit - A short hike over the western Glyderau

Although we’ll be attempting a few peaks of the western glyderau, don’t let that put you off considering this delightful short hike around the Marchlyn reserviour, high up in Eryri. It’s quite a compact route considering, and we’ll be starting at over 1000ft above sea level (which feels like cheating!) This walk should appeal to those who have O.K. fitness and want to spread their wings into the mountains. Are you needing a fitness boost? Do you want to get your hiking mojo back? Fancy a physical challenge to get up there and leave our worries under a rock at the summit? It’ll be a safe and well guided walk, we can take our time, find our own pace, with no rush and see where we get to! With a bit of luck we’ll have tremendous views all over Anglesey, Pen Llyn, Yr Wyddfa and the Carneddau!

What did you think of the walk?

Excellent

Rob was a fantastic guide and chose a really scenic route. He checked that the pace was good for everyone and there were plenty of opportunities to take breaks and chat if we wanted to. The hike was peaceful with spectacular views and a good way to push myself – just as described. It was an amazing day out! We were lucky to have perfect weather, too!

How did the walk help you?

It helped me to get out into the mountains, which I didn’t feel confident doing on my own at the moment. Being in nature always has a calming effect and helps you be more mindful, particularly being up in the mountains with such inspiring scenery. The small group were lovely to walk and talk with, which made it a sociable outing too. I’d really recommend Wellness Walks.

Would you come on a walk again?

Yes! I would love to go again.
