Saturday Saunter from Seascale

This is a fabulous walk starting and finishing on the beautiful Seascale Beach. Our walk takes us over the Amazing Seascale golf course, over farmland and winding through quaint farm lonings. On a clear day we will have stunning views across the western fells and out across the sea to The Isle of Man. We will have the opportunity to finish off with a delicious Ice Cream, tea or cake in the local cafe. The route is 11.2 Km over flat well defined paths and should take us 3 – 4 hours including a lunch and coffee stop. Easily accessible by train for the north and south of cumbria and by stagecoach bus X 7

What did you think of the walk?

Excellent

It was good to meet new people. I love being in the countryside and walking along the beach, listening to the waves lapping. Very therapeutic. It was good to see how pleased someone recovering from an operation was smiling when they completed the walk.

How did the walk help you?

I love being out walking and meeting new people. My husband has a mental illness and is depressed at present, he also has treatable but not curable cancer. I’m his carer and the wellness walks give me the strength to help cope with him. It’s a pleasure to be out and about, it’s my time.

Would you come on a walk again?

Yes! I would love to go again.
