A taste of the West Highland Way: Tyndrum to Crianlarich
Enjoy a wee taste of the iconic West Highland Way on this 10km linear route for LGBTQIA+ and allies. We will meet in Tyndrum and catch the 13:20 train to Crianlarich, before walking back to our meeting place. Our route will travel through forest, alongside two rivers (Fillan and Cononish) and past the ruins of St Fillan’s Priory and a graveyard. We will be surrounded throughout by the stunning mountains of this part of the Highlands. There will be plenty of time to pause and breathe as we journey together through the landscape as well as opportunity to talk should you wish.
What did you think of the walk?
Well organised, lots of info beforehand so we knew what to expect. Additional info about local flora during the walk which I enjoyed.
How did the walk help you?
I’ve recently moved to Scotland and don’t know many people so the walk gave me an opportunity to connect with other members or allies of the queer community in a non-drinking environment with the additional benefit of being in a beautiful natural environment and getting some exercise.
Would you come on a walk again?
Yes! I would love to go again.
