Kind words – Linda Shields (26-05-2026)

Seascale Circular

This is a fabulous walk starting and finishing on the beautiful Seacale beach. We walk through the golf course, over farmland and follow some quaint farm lonings. We will have stunning views of the Fells and out across the sea to the Isle of Man. Plenty of flora to spot along the way. We will have the opportunity to finish off with a yummy ice cream or tea and cake in the local cafe. The route is 11.2 km over flat well defined paths and should take us 3-4 Hours including lunch and Coffee stops. Plenty of spaces in a free car park and easily accessible by train from both north and south of Cumbria.

Lead by: June H ~ Walk Leader

What did you think of the walk?

Excellent

It was a well chosen walk for the people who needed a flat walk and some good company. June had definitely thought about the walk in advance. She is an excellent leader and goes out of her way to make sure every e enjoys themselves. One lady travelled from Whitehaven on the bus, she was over the moon with her achievement, deservedly so.

How did the walk help you?

I have been suffering from a lot of stress and getting out meeting new people helped me to destress. I love being outdoors meeting new people. I have arthritis and I need to keep moving or I stiffen up.

Would you come on a walk again?

Yes! I would love to go again.
