Crag End Beacon on Great Shunner
We head out of Hardraw on the Pennine Way up to Crag End Beacon at 626m. The track is rough in places, steep in a few sections but we will take them at a pace to suit ourselves and stop frequently to take in the views, which are definitely worth the effort! We drop in to the stunning quiet valley of Cotterdale, to traverse gently back towards the Pennine Way and drop down in to Hardraw, where the pub or cafe could be a welcome stop for refreshments, reflections & congratulations on this big day out!
What did you think of the walk?
I was, initially, a little trepidatious about tackling the route. However, with Jo’s encouragement and invaluable advice, I found that was able to manage the route with relative ease.
How did the walk help you?
It was an unforgettable experience and has given me the confidence to tackle similar, more adventurous walks on my own.
Would you come on a walk again?
Yes! I would love to go again.
Sharing is caring!
