Lon Gwyrfai Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert
We will catch the 10:00 S3 bus at Beddgelert to take us to the starting point at Rhyd Ddu. We will walk a]ong Lôn Gwyrfai which is a multi-use recreational path. The route length is 4.5 miles through a variety of landscapes, and offers stunning views of Yr Wyddfa,Yr Aran and Moel Hebog.
What did you think of the walk?
Huw Williams planned the walk with careful detail, so I knew in advance how difficult it would be. His leadership gave me great confidence in my ability to complete longer walks and enjoy places in Gwynedd that I have not visited before. We left our cars and caught a free Sherpa bus( with over 60 bus pass) to the start of the walk. The organisation was very thorough. Huw knows the names of all the mountains and has knowledge of the local area. The pace of the walk meant that we could stop and take photos and enjoy the nature.
How did the walk help you?
It has helped my fitness and self confidence. I have some health problems which I am overcoming by joining these walks with Huw and his groups. It was a wonderful day!
