Kind words – Jacqui (23-03-2025)

Rannoch Forest

This is a pleasant forest walk to do in the Spring Time as our surroundings start to come alive again. We will walk through the varied deciduous woodland that is a carpet of wild Blaeberries later in the year to a small Lochan which, on a calm day, gives wonderful reflections. We’ll pause for lunch here and then the group will continue deeper into the forest before looping back in a circuit to the start point, pausing again at a lovely viewpoint overlooking Loch Rannoch.

What did you think of the walk?

Excellent

Lovely group atmosphere, really knowledgeable leader (Mike) and no pressure to walk at a certain pace – rest breaks given to catch up/catch our breath. All done in a beautiful setting with lovely weather!

How did the walk help you?

The session helped me to go out of my fitness comfort zone and try a new challenge. Mike also pointed out different routes that we could take to change the length of the walk so that we can do our own walks in the area in the future.

Would you come on a walk again?

Yes! I would love to go again.
