Ladies Only : An Autumn walk in the shadows of Pendle Hill

We will walk from Worston along the brook to the beautiful village of Downham. The village is privately owned by the Assheton family. No overhead wires or satellite dishes are allowed, so it is a popular place for filming. Whistle down the Wind was filmed in 1961 and more recently the TV series Born and Bred. We then walk on picking up the Ribble Valley Jubilee Trail, then return to Worston in the shadow of Pendle. About 7 miles with an ascent and descent of 228m.

What did you think of the walk?

Excellent

Lovely scenery and good paths to follow, made to feel very welcome. Ruth was supportive and provided info of the route

How did the walk help you?

Introduced me to a new area and nice to chat to a lovely group of ladies who all helped each other with more difficult stiles.

Would you come on a walk again?

Yes! I would love to go again.
