Tell us how Wellness Walks has helped You

Was walking new to you? Something you used to do, wanted to try or already did?

I never used to do walks before Covid that were any distance. I then joined the group with Ruth and a couple of others were leaders, I enjoyed them so much and I was soon walking distances I thought I could never do. The walks varied in length from 3-12 miles.

What do you enjoy most about attending Wellness Walks?

I love being out walking. Being in a group of women is great as we talk about anything & everything. I love the social side of getting to know others. I love it as we have so many laughs and I love going to places I have never been.

How has taking part in Wellness Walks impacted your own mental, physical or social health?

I feel that when walking I feel good. My confidence has definitely improved being out with others. I also have done many things like going over different types of stiles which I hated before.

Final Thoughts

  Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience?

I loves these walks as I don’t drive but I am always able to go as other people are generous and give me and others lifts.
