Tell us how Wellness Walks has helped You
Was walking new to you? Something you used to do, wanted to try or already did?
I am reasonably used to walking but after moving back to UK from Turkey I wanted to join a walking group.
What do you enjoy most about attending Wellness Walks?
The thing I enjoy about my group is it is so inclusive, small group participation has meant we have all got to know each other. The walks can be challenging but doable. Love being outside in the fresh air, enjoying gorgeous scenery and great company
How has taking part in Wellness Walks impacted your own mental, physical or social health?
I can definitely do more now than I could compared to my first walk. Currently recovering from knee replacement so out of action at the moment but can’t wait to start again

Final Thoughts
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience?
I have been completing the walks for over a year, in that time the group has become not just a space for walking, but support. Angela has recently been out of action, but many of us have still got together with Angela for coffee, cake and a chat most weeks when we can. As I am recovering from my surgery the same support has been there for me. We aren’t just a wellness walking group anymore, we are a group of friends. So happy that I took the plunge to join my first walk.
