Whathas been your favourite Wellness Walk so far?

Around Porthmadog,  we went on the train from Pwllheli. It was a full day we walked on the outskirts of the town on foot paths and small roads. We had our packed lunch on the cob and we ended the walk in a local cafe before catching the train back.

What's the best thing about the Wellness Walks

✅ A really friendly group of people.

Tell us how Wellness Walks has helped You

Was walking new to you? Something you used to do, wanted to try or already did?

I have always  walked but having watched Extreme Rescue  on TV I wanted to do it safely.  Pluss  I had been going through a dark patch so I thought I would give it a try.

What do you enjoy most about attending Wellness Walks?

Finding new paths around places  I’ve known for over 30 years and seeing things I never knew was there.

How has taking part in Wellness Walks impacted your own mental, physical or social health?

It has given me confidence in conversing with other people,  I am on a waiting list to be assessed for neurodivergency  which explains  why I have found it difficult to get on with people over the years.

Has attending Wellness Walks made you feel more physically active?

✅ A lot
❎ A little
❎ not at all

I have always been very active. I was a self employed gardener  for over 30 years before I retired 2 years ago.

Final Thoughts

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience?

I would like to say how good a leader Dafydd is, he is professional,  safe and welcoming.  He makes you feel at ease and makes sure he talks to everyone on the walk.

Finally – sum up Wellness Walks in three words…

Fun. Friendly. Invigorating.
