✅ I wanted to join a walking group. The walk was led by a qualified leader.

Whathas been your favourite Wellness Walk so far?
Around Porthmadog, we went on the train from Pwllheli. It was a full day we walked on the outskirts of the town on foot paths and small roads. We had our packed lunch on the cob and we ended the walk in a local cafe before catching the train back.

Was walking new to you? Something you used to do, wanted to try or already did?
I have always walked but having watched Extreme Rescue on TV I wanted to do it safely. Pluss I had been going through a dark patch so I thought I would give it a try.
What do you enjoy most about attending Wellness Walks?
Finding new paths around places I’ve known for over 30 years and seeing things I never knew was there.
How has taking part in Wellness Walks impacted your own mental, physical or social health?
It has given me confidence in conversing with other people, I am on a waiting list to be assessed for neurodivergency which explains why I have found it difficult to get on with people over the years.
Has attending Wellness Walks made you feel more physically active?

I have always been very active. I was a self employed gardener for over 30 years before I retired 2 years ago.

I would like to say how good a leader Dafydd is, he is professional, safe and welcoming. He makes you feel at ease and makes sure he talks to everyone on the walk.
