This walk starts in the Village of Wheathampstead. We will follow the river Lea and the disused railway line towards the famous hamlet of Ayot St Lawrence, there is a herd of wild deer that live nearby that we may see . From there we will head across muddy fields and tracks.
This walk will be led at a slow pace, with regular breaks, I recommend bringing a flask with warm drink.

Walk Leader ~ Emma

Emma is a qualified Mountain Leader & she’s also qualified in First Aid for Mental Health & Outdoor First Aid – so you know she’ll keep you safe and make your Wellness Walk a safe and supportive space.

Emma tells us that her favourite local walk is in the woods in Spring when the bluebells come out – sounds like an excellent opportunity for some Forest Bathing. Given the chance to pick a favourite walk anywhere she’d probably pick the Carneddau Mountains as she likes the tranquillity they offer.

Emma’s top tip is to keep some snacks easily accessible on your walks – she’s a big fan of flapjack!
