COMPSTONS CROSS, SINGING RINGING TREE & BLUE LAGOON

We’ll be ambling along mostly well made paths and tracks at a very easy pace so we can chat, enjoy the views and maybe listen to the countryside. When we get to Compston’s Cross we’ll hopefully stop for a drink, snack and natter.

Kit List

  • Sturdy walking shoes/boots – we’ll occasionally be on rough ground
  • Waterproofs

Cold Weather Expected!

At this time of the year in the UK the weather can be very mixed.
Participants will need to have warm clothing (including a spare top) as whilst we will be moving we may well also be stood around looking at things and will get colder than we think.

Wet Weather

Whatever the forecast participants must have waterproof jackets and trousers – BUT don’t worry if you don’t own any – we can lend you both so long as you let us know when you book on to the event.

Facilities on Walk

  • There is a community cafe with toilets  and public toilets next to the Great Barn
  • There is a cafe at the start & finish of this walk

  • The walk is is on well made tracks & trails but at this time of the year it will be muddy so we advise wearing boots

Karl Mather

Karl leads our Wellness Walks in Lancashire.

Like all of our leaders Karl is exceptionally well trained & qualified and is an International Mountain Leader with decades of experience of keeping groups safe & entertained all over the world….But he also has a wealth of local knowledge and fun facts

Karl is also qualified in First Aid for Mental Health and has been trained to make sure that walks are a safe and supportive place for participants to be able to relax, let go and unwind.
