Grasmere Lake Circular Walk

This is a great low level walk taking in some amazing views across Grasmere and Rydal Water. Setting off from the Stock Lane Car Park we will walk past Dove Cottage the home of William Wordsworth then walk up along the old footpath towards Rydal. We will walk past Rydal Hall and come back on the other valley side alongside the lakes scenic edge. We will return back to Grasmere for options for a coffee, maybe some cake and a visit to the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop! This is a relaxed walk set at a steady pace to enjoy being outdoors and chatting to other people in the group. Total distance approximately 6 miles.

These walks will follow paths, trails and lanes that are clearly visible on both the ground and the map (with the exception of very minor alterations). The risk on these walks  is low - but traffic, waterways and other hazards may still be encountered.

Participants are required to read the walk description and kit list and may not be allowed to take part on the walk if they do not have suitable clothing or footwear.
