The best of both worlds! This moderate walking trail combines both the Brenig Walking Trail and Alwen Walking Trails, with some spectacular views to be found. The walk will be 9.5 miles. Did you know that during the construction of the lake, a number of Bronze Age artefacts were found. The site was used as a camp by Mesolithic hunter-gatherers. This has been dated by radiocarbon analysis of the charcoal from their fires to around 5700 BC. You can follow a number of archaeological trails, the relics visible include a ring cairn (a Bronze Age burial mound), and several barrows!

Walk Leader - Jo
Jo is a qualified Lowland Leader & she’s also qualified in First Aid for Mental Health & Outdoor First Aid – so you know she’ll keep you safe and make your Wellness Walk a safe and supportive space.
Jo has a super positive attitude and is great fun to spend a day out with. She leads walks in the North West & further afield. Jo tells us her favourite walk anywhere is Moel Ellio in Snowdonia with it’s spectacular views but, like all of our walk Leaders, Jo says its the people she spends time with that really make a walk in the wonder of nature special.
