HALTON OLD RAILWAY STREET to LANCASTER QUAYSIDE
Returning on Opposite Bank of Lune.
An Easy Paced Wellness Walk of around 6.5mls following both sides of the river Lune. Should be a lovely fairly level & very scenic walk taking in some of the well know features of lancaster. 🙂

Dress for the weather, take a waterproof jacket a warm fleece or sweater, hat gloves a warm drink, & some lunch.
You’ll need some money if you intend to use the pub afterwards.

Walk Leader - Karl

Karl is a qualified International Mountain Leader with over 20 years experience of safely leading people on their ‘Best Mountain Trip Of A Lifetime’ across the world. Before that  he taught Outdoor Education & Sport in Colleges. He also has Mental Health & Outdoor First Aid qualifications – so you’ll be in safe hands. 

Now returning to his roots he likes nothing more than introducing people to local walks – about which he always has a wealth of interesting and fun facts. Karl is especially good at making sure everyone has a good day out – join him on one his walks and find out for yourself.

MEETING PLACE - Halton Old Railway Station Parking, Denny Beck Lane Lancaster

It appears NOT to be chargeable
Approach via A683 follow Denny Beck Lane to parking spot at far end.

Facilities

Appears not to be any toilets at start of walk but pub at finish should have them for those using it.
Maybe a chance for a drink upon our return at the Greyhound Halton.
Dogs: 1pp up to 3 to the group. Must be friendly, well behaved, not yappy, & remain on a lead.

Mixed Weather

We're expecting mixed weather on this walk – so make sure you bring waterproofs AND an extra warm layer!
