On the right day this little hill has some of the best views anywhere in the world.
We’ll be doing this local walk alternate weeks to get to know each other, to get to know the local area a bit better & to have a shorter option if you don’t fancy one of our longer walks.

Sturdy walking shoes/boots – we’ll occasionally be on rough ground- Waterproofs
- Bring a spare jumper!
- Hat & Gloves
- Snacks & drink
- Walking poles always recommended!
- Camera/phone -its all about the pics!
Cold Weather Not Expected!
At this time of the year in the UK the weather can be very mixed.
Participants will need to have warm clothing (including a spare top) as whilst we will be moving we may well also be stood around looking at things and will get colder than we trhink.
Wet Weather
Whatever the forecast participants must have waterproof jackets and trousers – BUT don’t worry if you don’t own any – we can lend you both so long as you let us know when you book on to the event.
Facilities on Walk
- We have the option to car share up to the quarry parking spot.
- There are no toilets at the start & finish of this walk
Walk details
- The walk is is on really well made and marked trails. There’s some steep ascent and descent.
- We can go as far as the group members like but the basic loop is 3km with 150m of ascent
- 2-3hrs with stops
