Wellness Walks are super excited to be expanding our program in to the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. The Dales have something for everyone – from gentle walks beside the river, historic trails to castles, mills & more, or vast open wilderness where you can really lose yourself for a whiles.

Under Wether Fell loop

A beautiful wander through Upper Wensleydale: leaving from Hawes, taking in the hamlet of Burtersett, turning west to amble through the pastures under Wether Fell to Gayle, returning along the River Ure via Haylands Bridge and back in to Hawes. We will be stopping to take in the breath-taking views in all directions, listen to the birds and absorb ourselves in the unique working landscape of Upper Wensleydale.

Buckden, Yockenthwaite, Hubberholme, Yorkshire Dales Wellness Walk

A lovely Easy Paced Wellness walk from the delightful village of Buckden in the Yorkshire Dales. After a short but steep ascent to Cray (we’ll take it easy) we follow a promenade path, with gorgeous views, to the remote hamlet of Yockenthwaite. Made famous in the latest TV series of All Creatures Great & Small as the home of James Herriots wife Helen & her family. We return along the beautiful River Wharfe, visiting Hubberholme & its famous Church with its furniture by Mouseman & where James & Helen were married in the TV Series. 8mls 250m ascent.

Grassington Moor Smelt Mill & Amazing Cupola Chimney ‘Yorkshire Dales Wellness Walk’

An Interesting, Easy Paced Wellness Walk of Around 7mls with 320m accumulated ascent. Mostly on rough tracks & paths, although we may walk on some moorland Passing the site of Grassington Medieval Village, Lead Mines, Smelting Mill & The Incredible Cupola Chimney. We will ‘of course’ be visiting an Ancient Stone Henge on the way back to Grassington, where in the cafes & pubs, welcome refreshments are on offer. We’ll choose a good un!

Fewston, Swinsty and Jack Hill

Fewston & Swinsty RESERVOIRS A lovely Easy Paced ACG&S Walk visiting Jack Hill where James Proposed to Helen in the series. Distance 8.5mls 300m accumulated ascent. LIMITED PARKING SHARE CARS IF U CAN Let’s hope for good weather as there are some magnificent views to be had. Dress for weather, bring waterproofs, spare warm clothing, hat gloves, food warm drink packed in a rucksack. Dogs Allowed: 1pp maximum of 3 to group. Must be friendly, not yappy & remain under control, on a short lead. Start of Lambing Season
