Half-Day

Easy

A relaxed canoe journey on Derwentwater, suitable for complete beginners.
Using rafted canoes, which are extremely stable with plenty of space to be comfortable and very social. There is no need to get wet! You might need to step in the water to launch/land so wet feet but there’s fair chance we can keep them dry too!
We’ll launch onto the lake, spend some time getting the hang of paddling and then explore the shoreline and islands, no doubt stopping for a brew and a snack.

We’ll provide a buoyancy aid for everyone, swimming ability isn’t necessary.
Canoeing can be a great option for people who find walking tricky. Please let us know if this is you so we can make sure we get it right for you.
