An Interesting, Easy Paced Wellness Walk of Around 7mls with 320m accumulated ascent. Mostly on rough tracks & paths, although we may walk on some moorland Passing the site of Grassington Medieval Village, Lead Mines, Smelting Mill & The Incredible Cupola Chimney. We will ‘of course’ be visiting an Ancient Stone Henge on the way back to Grassington, where in the cafes & pubs, welcome refreshments are on offer. We’ll choose a good un!

It’s an ‘All Creatures Great & Small’ Themed Walk visiting a number of spots used in filming including a stroll through the fictional town of Darrowby. Dress For the weather. Bring hot/cold drink & some food.

Walk Leader - Karl

Karl is a qualified International Mountain Leader with over 20 years experience of safely leading people on their ‘Best Mountain Trip Of A Lifetime’ across the world. Before that  he taught Outdoor Education & Sport in Colleges. He also has Mental Health & Outdoor First Aid qualifications – so you’ll be in safe hands. 

Now returning to his roots he likes nothing more than introducing people to local walks – about which he always has a wealth of interesting and fun facts. Karl is especially good at making sure everyone has a good day out – join him on one his walks and find out for yourself.

MEETING PLACE - YDNP Visitor Centre Hebden Road Grassington

We’ll meet outside the Visitor Centre & toilets in plenty of time for a prompt start. It’s a pay car park so share cars if possible. (54.0697731, -1.9972734)

Facilities

Toilets are available at the start & finish of the walk Cafes & Pubs available in Grassington Public transport from Ilkley & Skipton Dogs Allowed: 1pp up to 3 for group. Must be well behaved not yappy & remain under close control, no extendable leads please.
